eReadingPro Presents
Three Workshops at the
Florida Down Syndrome Conference 2008
The first workshop was a pre-conference session in which parents and educators learned about learning styles, whole-word vs. phonetic approaches to teaching reading and how to use the eReadingPro system for teaching reading to their children.
The second workshop provided tips for teaching reading to teens and young adults. This workshop helped parents and educators decipher why their children may be still struggling with learning to read and offered ideas they could implement into their current learning programs.
Finally, the third workshop helped attendees understand common reasons for children struggling with reading, tips to use when teaching reading to the visual learner, how to create a reading program, keys to success with any reading program and a basic introduction to how the eReadingPro system for teaching reading works.
The conference was a great venue for all, where friendships were formed, information was shared, and fun was had by all! Thank you to the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida and Amy Van Bergen.
